MASH POTATO WITH SMOKED SEA SALT
A perfect accompaniment to pithivier or share pie.
2kg potatoes (king edward, desiree, dutch cream, maris piper or nicola), similar size
smoked sea salt
pinch white pepper
Roast potatoes (skin on) at 180 degrees for around 45 mins or until tender.
Allow to cool slightly, cut in half, scoop out tender potato and mash.
Place mash in a thick based pot on a low to medium heat and slowly add butter and milk a little at a time, whipping together with a wooden spoon as you go.
Once incorporated heat through.
Add smoked sea salt and white pepper to your liking.
